Scottish Borders (June 1st 2008)

Gina & I took ‘Big Saffy’ for a wee run through the Scottish Borders yesterday.

http://www.dutchman.org.uk/media/IMG_2690.jpgWe made an early start in warm sunshine and headed for a mid-morning stop at Broughton via Kirkliston & Carnwath.

Fueled with bacon rolls & coffee we headed onwards through Moffat to St Mary’s Loch for an early lunch during which the heavens opened and ensured a thorough soaking on the run back to Edinburgh.

The RT is at it’s best two-up and our 170 mile trip yesterday certainly confirmed that, despite the poor weather for the last hour or so. Route & images here.
